Since the season has just gotten underway it seems appropriate to start with, what else? Baseball!
For those of us in long term relationships there comes a time when the gifts become repetitive. I was always a creative gifter but eventually I ran out of ideas. My husband LOVED baseball and while he had a favorite team, more than the team, he loved the game. Therefore, it seemed a natural progression to give the gift of baseball.
The plan was to cover every stadium for birthdays and Fathers Day until we hit them all and then start over again. I was able to score some really great seats online and depending on the distance, either fly or drive to the games. Whenever possible, I scheduled the games over a long weekend so we would have some time to spend sightseeing. The bonus to this was many of the cities where the stadiums are located tend to be somewhere you wouldn’t ordinarily think of as a place to spend a mini vacation. But they were. How many people do you know would recommend Pittsburgh as a great place to spend a long weekend? I highly recommend it. I’ll cover more of these hidden gems in future posts, but I also want to cover other countries and give readers the opportunity to ask questions or share advice on challenges they may have encountered while travelling.
How inspiring the love of a game would lead you all to travel across this country & share it with us. Thank you
God Bless!
